All insurance plans are underwritten by HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited which is authorised and regulated by the Commissioner of Insurance of the Hong Kong SAR. The Hong Kong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited is an insurance agent authorised by HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited.
Insurance plans offered by HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited is only available for subscription by residents of the Hong Kong SAR.
Promotional Terms and Conditions for application via internet and telephone only:

Customers who successfully apply for FirstCare, HospitalSurance, Refundable HospitalSurance, HomeSurance or AccidentSurance, (the "Selected Product(s)"), between 2 October 2009 to 30 November 2009, both dates inclusive, (the "Promotional Period ") are entitled to the offers set out in the table below.

"Self" enrolment refers to application for the policyholder himself/herself or his/her child; "Family" enrolment refers to any of the following combination: (i) self and spouse, (ii) self and parent, (iii) self and child(ren), and (iv) self, spouse and/or child(ren). To enjoy the designated product offers for family enrolment during the Promotion Period, all members in the above-mentioned combination have to apply together in one new policy (except in the case of self and parent application). In the case of self and parent enrolment, both parties have to submit the new application at the same time within the Promotional Period so as to enjoy the designated product offers

For application via telephone, no premium discounts or waiver are provided for Refundable HospitalSurance.

Customers who successfully apply for certain Selected Products via Internet or via telephone during the Promotional Period will receive an additional marketing offer of ParknShop supermarket gift coupons (PNS Coupon(s)) as follows:

In order to be eligible for the promotional offers listed in Clause 1 and 2, Insurance policies must be issued during the period of 02 October 2009 to 15 December, 2009.
4.
The PNS Coupon(s) cannot be converted into cash and will be subject to further Terms and Conditions stipulated by the supplying merchant(s).
5.
The PNS Coupon(s) are offered while stocks last. The Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corporation Limited (the "Bank") reserves the right to offer alternative coupons without further notice if the said Coupon(s) is/are not available.
6.
The participating merchant(s)/supplier(s) of the PNS Coupon(s) in this promotion are solely responsible for the quality of the products and the services provided and the Bank shall have no liability in respect thereof.
7.
Once the customer has successfully applied for the Selected Products via a particular application channel, no request for a change of offers associated with different application modes will be entertained.
8.
If a customer who is eligible to receive PNS Coupon(s) under this promotion is also entitled to other offer, reward, gift etc. under another concurrent promotion run by the Bank in respect of the Selected Product(s), the customer is only entitled to receive one offer of the highest value at the Bank's discretion.
9.
The PNS Coupon(s) will only be mailed to the local policy address of the policyholder within 12 to 14 weeks after the relevant policy is issued. Customers who have cancelled or have the insurance polices concerned terminated whether by the Bank, the customers themselves or for other reasons before the PNS Coupon(s) are sent out by the Bank, will for all purposes forfeit their entitlement to the PNS coupon(s).
10.
After mailing the PNS Coupon(s), the Bank will not be responsible for them. PNS Coupon(s) are not replaceable by the Bank due to any occasion of loss or damage by a customer.
11.
A customer who has withdrawn/cancelled an application/ policy for the same insurance plan within the past six months or cancels his/her policy prior to the fulfillment letter(s) being issued will not be entitled to the promotional offer.
12.
All insurance applications are subject to approval by HSBC Insurance (Asia) Limited.
13.
The Bank reserves the right to change these Terms and Conditions at any time.
14.
In the event of dispute, the decision of the Bank shall be final and conclusive.
15.
Should there be any discrepancy between the English and the Chinese versions of these Terms and Conditions, the English version shall prevail.
