Mr. Lee travelled with his family to Morocco. Unfortunately, they experienced a traffic accident there. Mr. Lee suffered from a fracture of the left femur and needed immediate surgery. At the time, he was in a remote area of northern Morocco where medical facilities were inadequate. Mrs. Lee called HSBC Worldwide Assistance Services instantly for help and advice.

Within 24 hours, we promptly arranged to evacuate the family, with their acceptance, to a nearby European country by air ambulance with medical escorts. Having been hospitalized for a week, Mr. Lee's condition improved, so we arranged the family to fly back to Hong Kong and Mr. Lee was sent to the hospital for further follow-up treatments.
