Hi, I'm Ireign Siu from Regional Human Resources. I joined HSBC Insurance in 2003 as HR Executive. Prior to that, I'd worked in two Fortune 500 companies since graduating from university.
After working in a resourcing role for four months, I was given the mandate to develop a talent management strategy for our Insurance business. Starting from nothing, I was very proud to build our first Insurance talent pipeline in just six months.
After that, my job continued to expand and expand, starting from a Hong Kong role and now to a regional role as the Head of Leadership and Organisation Development. Just five years time, I've gone from an HR operational role to a strategic HR role responsible for organisation and leadership development, succession planning, performance management, talent development and new start-up country projects, which require me to travel throughout the region. To date, my most challenging experience was on a Vietnam project in which I needed to work with our Strategic Partner to transform a traditional insurance company into a world-class financial institution.
